The Emirates Palace is a luxury hotel located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) city of Abu Dhabi. The hotel was built by and is owned by the Abu Dhabi government, and is currently managed by the Kempinski Group. Not too far from the hotel is the Marina Mall, one of two large shopping malls in Abu Dhabi city. According to some local residents of Abu Dhabi, the best view of the hotel can be obtained along the long stretch of road leading to the hotel (Corniche Road).
With a construction cost of over US$3 billion, 302 rooms and 92 suites, the Emirates Palace is reputed to be the most expensive hotel ever built . Much of the interior decor is in gold and marble. The main central area houses an expansive marble floor, balconies and a large patterned dome above, picked out in gold. The hotel also contains a large conference centre . World-renowned music artists and other concerts have already taken place at the Palace Conference Centre. Some of the performances include the Scorpions (band), Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Swan Lake ballet.
Also Justin Timberlake ended his FutureSex/LoveShow tour there on 6 December 2007. The Emirates Palace is sometimes confused with the Presidential Palace, the official residence of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, which is nearby.
The Palace Suite is the luxuriest suite. The Palace Suite guest quarters include a magnificent master bedroom and two guest bedrooms decorated in gentle tones of gold, silver and rich marble with a luxurious bath including Jacuzzi and rain shower.
Each Palace Suite can be separated into individual sections, and booked either as in its entirety (three bedrooms) or as a one or two bedroom suite. A 61" plasma screen is in every bedroom, the dining room, and living room.
